Admissions Consultation

The governing body of Bingley Grammar School has set (determined) their admission arrangements for entry to Bingley Grammar School from September 2027, these were consulted upon between Monday 24th November 2025 and Sunday 4th January 2026.
Representations were made by Bradford Council and 1 parent.
The draft policy with amendments was agreed by the governing body on 21st January 2026
Effect of the September 2027 policy:
- There are no changes to the policy of admission of pupils into Year 7. Grammatical changes in this section were made to ensure clarity of the policy.
- Clarification of the in-year admissions process and how to apply, request to be placed on the waiting list and how to appeal.
- New policy covering the admission to the Sixth Form, how to apply, request to be placed on the waiting list and how to appeal.
Any objection to these arrangements must be made to the Schools Adjudicator by 15 May 2026.
