Spanish Club Flamenco Dance
Students learnt all about the traditional Flamenco moves, including las palmas (claps) and el braceo (arm movements). By the end of the session, students had learnt a whole Flamenco dance routine and were absolutely exhausted!
Flamenco is a traditional Spanish dance from the Andalucia region of Spain. It is considered an art-form and a form of expression. It is characterised by percussive footwork, rhythmic clapping and intricate hand and body movements.
Mrs McKeown had a great time teaching Flamenco and looks forward to teaching other Spanish and South American dances to Year 7 Spanish Club students in the future!
